FACTORY PORSCHE DRIVER
Patrick Long is an American Porsche works driver, and one of the most successful sportscar racers of his generation. SoCal born and raised, Long climbed the US karting ranks quickly and moved at the age of 15, alone, to Europe to progress up the karting and open wheel ladder system. An initial member of the famed Red Bull Formula One driver search, Patrick attracted the attention of executives from Porsche, and was offered a Junior development contract, allowing him to race professionally for Porsche across Europe. His successes in a Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and UK gave him a chance to become a full factory team racing driver, which he has been since 2003.
Three times an American Le Mans Series (ALMS) driver's champion, twice a winner at the 24 hours of Le Mans and having raced for the legendary Penske Racing team in 2008, Patrick has had a stellar career with Porsche to date. He is the youngest American ever to win all of sportscar racing's four endurance classics: the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rolex 24 at Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit La Mans.
When not traveling the world racing for Porsche or handling press duties or car launches for the company, Patrick lives a relaxed life in LA, and is never far from the beach. A life-long surfer and motocross enthusiast, he keeps busy exploring from Ventura to Orange County, sticking close to his roots despite his globe-hopping job.
